I’m back, Internet. It’s been an utterly insane couple of months. November was spent with family, and with my notebook and word processor, hitting my 50,000 word goal for NaNoWriMo. The novel isn’t anywhere near done yet. We lost my Grandpa on the 29th of November to surgery complications/cancer/chemo effects on the immune system. December was incredibly busy, leaving me with little time to myself or just time off.
Now, here at the end of the year, I’m back again, having gone through a lot of change, and looking to the future. You know what, that just sounded way to schmaltzy when I read it back. I’m finally back to my blog, and gearing up for next year. There’s a lot to look forward to in 2013, so I may as well say some of what it is.
- I’ve got a job, and if I plan well, I’ll be able to write every evening.
- I’ve got bookshelves that are overflowing, waiting for me to read the books I’ve got there.
- I’ve got a novel that I’m loving and that I’m excited to write more of. Hopefully I’ll finish
itthe first draft in 2013.
- I’ve got friends who still talk to me, some of whom talk to me every day and don’t beat me senseless. Thank FSM they still are willing to deal with me at this point.
There’s more than that, but maybe I’ll post about that later. It’s going to be a new year, and if it’s anything like 2012, it’s going to be filled with huge changes. I can’t wait to see what’s up next.
