The First Day of The Rest of My Life

Folks, it finally happened.  After months and months of putting out applications daily; after months of making, remaking, writing, rewriting, and sending out resumes and cover letters; after months of feeling stuck in time, the day has finally come.

I have a job once again.

Seriously though, I did finally get a job. I got the call today that my background check finally went through, confirming that I now hold the position.  What’s the job, you ask? I’m a copy and print associate at First Merchants Bank.  I’m going to be working in the copy room in the downtown branch, and I couldn’t be more excited to have the job. I didn’t want to say anything on the blog any earlier because I didn’t want to jinx it, but with this through now, I don’t think I have to worry about that anymore.

I start soon and I expect this means I move from the mopey posts that I’ve had (which I once again am thoroughly apologetic for), to hopefully more on projects I’m working on, trying to review things like television and film again, and give little updates on the writing I’m working on.  There’s a lot coming up in the near future thanks to this, so I just want to say thank you to all that have stuck with me through this pretty damn arduous time, and I’m excited to show you what I can really do when I have the ability to focus.

And come on, you know I’ve gotta do this.  It’s me, it wouldn’t be moving into a new frontier without me doing this:
